Bismillahi Wal Hamdullillah Was Salaatu Was Salaamu ‘alaa Rasoolillahi

Ammaa Ba’d:

Upon the authority of Abu Hurairah – Radhiyallahu ‘Anhu who said: That the Messenger of Allah said:

“The servant says: “My Wealth! My Wealth! While he only possesses from his wealth three things, that which he has eaten and so it is consumed, or that which he has worn (from garment) and it is worn out, and that which he has given (in sadaqah) and so he has stored it away (i.e. for his hereafter)”

Upon the authority of Aishah – Radhiyallahu ‘anhaa who narrated upon the authority of The Messenger of Allah – Sallallahu alaihi Was Salam who said:

“Indeed Allah cultivates and multiplies for one of you his date or his morsel (i.e. when given in charity) just as one of you nurtures his young horse until it (the charity) becomes like unto (mount) Uhud”

Upon the authority of Abu Hurairah – Radhiyallahu anhu who said the Messenger of Allah – Sallallahu ‘alaihi Was Salam Said:

“One hundred thousand dirham has been out done by one dirham!” So they (the companions) said: “and How?” He said:

“A man had (only) two dirham and he gave charity with one of them, while another man turned towards his abundant merchandise and took from it one hundred thousand dirham and gave it in charity”

Upon the authority of Umar – Radhiyallahu ‘Anhu who said:

“It has reached me that the actions boastfully compete with one another and Sadaqah says “I am the best of you“!”

(Agreed upon)

Upon the authority of Abu Umaamah who said: “The Messenger of Allah – Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Was Salam said:

“Oh Son of Adam! That you give your surplus wealth away in charity is better for you, while if you hold onto it, that is evil for you, though you will not be blamed for your needs..”
